Bridgette

My name is Bridgy and I was turned into the Humane Society because I had a huge mass on the side of my face. My owner tried to pass me off as a stray he found but I was microchipped to him :( Anyway, the vet looked at me and said it looked like a mass cell tumor. It was going to be costly to save me he said and offered to euthanize me humanely but a nice lady at the shelter said I was too sweet so she called another nice lady that takes pugs and fixes them up and finds them homes. She took me to the local internal medicine veterinarian Dr. Dennis who worked with another wonderful vet Dr. Layton. They cut my tumor out but to get clean margins they had to go deep and take my entire left ear but that is OK because I can hear just fine out of my right ear. The good news is they think they got all of the tumor and sent tissue off for biopsy for a grade level. They all are very optimistic that the tumor will not come back and I will have a wonderful life. 11/21/08 I got to come home today. I look a little different but the other pugs don't care neither does my mom. I ate my dinner, went outside then I laid down by my moms feet while she works on the computer. I don't let her out of my sight and she lets me follow her everywhere. My pug brothers....all 7 of them are jealous as they have to stay in the kitchen all the time because they mark things and I don't. I feel very fortunate that Christmas came early for me this year and the angels were looking over me. My surgery was very expensive so if you think I was worth saving and would like to be one of my holiday angels and help sponsor me I promise I will live a long life of love and will forever be grateful
