This precious boy was dumped with his brother Oliver in a drainage ditch behind a shelter. Levi was so thin that you could count every rib. We don’t think he would have lasted much longer on his own. He is just the sweetest boy and is making up for lost time, eating like a little piggie. Levi does have one tiny eye that he can’t see out of but he is coming out of his shell and is starting to play with toys. Although he would love to be placed with his brother, we think he would do well as long as he had a fur brother or sister to cuddle with when no one is home. Levi is looking for a home that will shower him with the love he never got and never let him be afraid again. Levi is a bit shy at first but is a complete cuddle bug when he trusts you. UPDATE: We couldn’t understand why Levi had such diluted urine. We took him back to our vet and ran several tests. It was determined that this little guy was in Kidney failure! He spent an entire week in the hospital on fluids and when he came home had to have them every other day with several medications. He then went to fluids twice a week. He is now at the vet clinic again trying new drug and fluid therapy. Levi deserves every chance we can give him. He has so much love to give and now that he is feeling better he tugs on our clothes to play and jumps up on the kitchen chair to sit and view his surroundings. He loves the other pugs and is looking for a home that will shower him with love and take care of all his special needs. He is hoping his new family finds him soon and gives him the loving home he deserves. Levi has had extensive vet bills and is still on several medications. He will most likely continue to get fluids at the vet once or twice a week for the rest of his life.
