The Milwaukee Pug Fest Planning Committee has been working hard on making the 2010 Milwaukee Pug Fest a success and informative. We have finalized our speakers and their topics. We are still working on our time schedule of events. Our Speaker line-up and topics are as follows:
PUG WELLNESS - Dr. Ken Lambrecht, DVM
Dr. Lambrecht will speak on Pug wellness and the benefits of giving attention to caloric intake, the type of food being fed, and the benefits of a regular exercise program to achieve ideal weight. This will be an evidence based approach to preventative nutrition (ideal weight & supplements).
Dr. Lambrecht has 25 years experience as a wellness veterinarian and is medical director and founding owner of the Westside Family Pet Clinic (WFPC), an AAHA accredited practice and 4 Paws Swim & Fitness Center in Madison, WI. PREVENTATIVE NUTRITIONAL ASSESSMENTS (New this Year!)
Want to do all you can to have your favorite pug feel better and live longer???? Dr. Lambrecht & staff will be providing 10 to 15 minute “one on one� consultations, give your pug an Ideal Weight Assessment, discuss pet foods that can help prevent the common breed specific diseases of pugs (dental disease & obesity) or discuss the right amount of EPA/DHA (fish oil) supplements. The goal is to identify areas for further discussion to have with your veterinarian to provide optimal preventative nutrition. Give your pug the best health insurance you can, by achieving ideal weight & using evidence based preventative nutrition! The assessment takes up to 15 minutes and there is a small charge of $10.00, which will benefit Pug Rescue. The staff asks that you Pre-register for this service.

Dr. Jodie will present Pug cases, which exemplify how holistic modalities and natural nutrition can augment or be an alternative to conventional veterinary care. She has been speaking to small and large audiences on these topics for 17 years.
Dr. Jodie has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine in Muskego for 23 years. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist. Dr. Jodie has studied herbology at a Time to Heal in Illinois, Healing Oasis and the Chi Institute associated with the University of Florida. Dr. Jodie is the owner of the Animal Doctor Holistic Veterinary complex that draws pet guardians from throughout Wisconsin and upper Illinois who seek alternatives to conventional canine and feline care.
